Before 1993, this area was covered by miscellaneous storage for large parts and finished products, and parts and service needs were managed by individual areas of the business throughout the plants. As the complexity of the plants and product lines grew, a more connected system was needed, and in 1993 the Parts Distribution Center was built. Today, more than 170 team members work three shifts here handling parts and service, technical publications such as operator's and service manuals, and paint storage, shipping quality Vermeer parts through a distribution network of more than 600 entrepreneurial dealers around the world. The facility also includes the Vermeer Health Center for team members and their families, where an onsite primary care clinic and pharmacy help them maintain their goals and live whole, healthy lives.
