Rotary Club of Sparta Veterans Park is dedicated to the veterans and families of White County who served the nation in times of peace and war. It honors those who lived, worked, and fought to secure the freedom and liberty enjoyed by all Americans, and it stands as a reminder to veterans and future generations that courage in the face of danger is the first step on the path toward victory and peace. The park also records decorated service members and those from White County who served between 1900 and 1940, including men in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Service, among them those killed in action and those recognized with awards such as the Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, and Medal of Honor.
