The Eames House, created by prolific designers Charles and Ray Eames and completed in 1949 as their lifelong home, is Case Study House #8. It embodies many of the ideals of post war Modernism and is regarded as one of America's most significant experiments in domestic architecture. It has been designated a National Historic Landmark and possesses national significance in commemorating the history of the United States of America.
