Stephen C. Dabadie was born in September 1995 in New Roads, Louisiana. He attended Loyala University New Orleans, Lousiana, earned a Bachelor's Degree, was a Distinguished Military Graduate, and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant through ROTC. His military schooling included the Instructor Training Course, Arms and Services Staff School, and the U.S. War College, where he earned a Master of Strategic Studies. His military career included service as Company Commander of 1st Battalion 61st Infantry at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and Operations Officer for Law Enforcement Command at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was appointed in the Louisiana National Guard in July, 1988, served as Chief of Joint Staff, Joint Force Headquarters, Louisiana, and became Assistant Adjunct General before his Major General appointment in August, 2022.
