Veteran's Memorial Point is dedicated to the veterans of Lawrence County, Illinois, living or dead. It was dedicated on September 18, 1955, by the State of Illinois during the administration of Governor William G. Stratton. The memorial stands at Veterans Point Picnic Area in Red Hills State Park beside a lake, where it takes the form of a white concrete base supporting a flagpole.
