The Museum of Root Beer in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, is devoted to the history, memorabilia, and culture of root beer. Housed inside the soda shop Root Beer Revelry, it pairs displays on the drink’s past with tastings organized by brand and flavor, merchandise, and support for independent root beer breweries. Opened on May 28, 2021, after a two-week Kickstarter campaign, it is owned by Vince Payne of Iowa, whose collection includes memorabilia from more than 2,000 root beer brands. Its holdings include bottles, signs, packaging, tap handles, and material from the earlier Root Beer Revelry Museum, presenting root beer as both a beverage and a regional branding tradition.
