Stilson Canyon is a small gorge in Butte County, California, at the base of the Sierra Nevada. Little Chico Creek runs through it and, along this stretch, forms the boundary between the Sierra Nevada and the Cascade Range. Homes built along part of the canyon give it both a settled and natural character. Its significance lies in this meeting point of two major mountain regions, where the creek defines the divide as it passes through the gorge.
