About seven hundred years ago, the Salado Phenomena blended ideas of neighboring Native American cultures to create a unique and vibrant society. People lived in and used the resources of the northern Sonoran Desert from 1250 to 1450 CE, leaving colorful pottery, woven cotton cloth, and other artifacts.
