This cemetery, whose original records in Czech are dated October 22, 1905, lies in the heart of the Bohemian farm settlement one-quarter mile north of the Fraternal Hall on Highway 27. Thirty-three families cleared the land and divided it into 10' x 20' lots, drawing numbers to determine their burial plots. A double-paged ledger documents each grave site and preserves many continuing pioneer names. Commemorative services are held each year to honor and preserve the community's unique and precious Czech heritage and its contribution to and blending into American culture.
