Hokes Mill Covered Bridge in Ronceverte, West Virginia, spans Second Creek and survives as a rare example of the county’s once more common covered bridges. Built between 1897 and 1899, the small road bridge measures 12 feet wide and 81.6 feet long. Its red board-and-batten siding and standing seam metal roof give it the enclosed appearance typical of late 19th-century rural bridges. As one of only two covered bridges remaining in Greenbrier County, it holds local importance as a scarce survivor. Its significance was formally recognized when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.
