The Boy Scouts of America dedicated a replica of the Statue of Liberty during their 40th Anniversary Crusade to Strengthen the Arm of Liberty in 1950 as a pledge of everlasting fidelity and loyalty, invoking the faith and courage of their forefathers who made possible the freedom of the United States. It was rededicated on the 4th of July, 2005, to honor the Doniphan County, Kansas, veterans and their families for their selfless service in defense of freedom, liberty, and the people of the nation.
