Cullen Boney and his wife, Phoebe Williams, migrated from North Carolina and settled in the China Hill community of Telfair County in the eighteen twenties. They had three children: Mary Jane Boney Cravey, Eliza Boney Reeves, and Stephen Boney. Stephen Boney married Mary Jane Williams, and their children were John C., born 1850, who married Rebecca Wilcox and died in 1930; William F., born 1852, who married Molly Mizell and died in 1916; Joseph J., born 1853, who married Clara Williams and died in 1934; Wiley M., born 1858 and died in 1859; Rebecca, born 1861 and died in 1863; Alexander J., born 1863, who married first Rebecca Swain, who died in 1946, and second Polly Bloodworth; Anna, born 1865 and died in 1880; Lucius W., born 1868, who married Emma Swinney and died in 1958; Lewis E., born 1870 and died in 1873; and R.S., born 1874 and died in 1898.
