Cove Hot Springs Pool is a small soaking pool built over a natural hot spring in northeastern Oregon’s Grande Ronde Valley, on the western edge of the Wallowa Mountains. Located about 10 miles east of La Grande and 7 miles north-northeast of Union, it is fed by spring water of about 86°F at a flow of roughly 300 gallons per minute. That constant supply refreshes the 15-by-15-foot pool several times a day, making it a modest, continuously renewed hot spring site rather than a large developed resort.
