The small park just east of here was named for J. Stanford and Helen Jones. On January 10, 1966, Enoch was incorporated as a town, with Stanford Jones as the first chair of the Enoch Town board, when the population was 102. On August 14, 1981, after annexing several new subdivisions south and west of here, Enoch's class was upgraded to a city, with a population of 1,440.
