This road grader was originally owned by John F. Walker of Scheller in Bald Hill Township and later by his son Alden. It was used in terracing farmland as well as on rural roads. In the 1930s it helped maintain the gravel road between Waltonville and Scheller, and it remained in use on the farm until the late 1970s. It was first pulled by horses and later by tractor.
