This war memorial honors those associated with a series of U.S. conflicts: World War I, 1917–1918; World War II, 1941–1946; the Korean War, 1950–1953; the Vietnam War, 1964–1975; Lebanon and Grenada, 1982–1984; Panama, December 20, 1989–January 31, 1990; and the Gulf War and war on terrorism, beginning February 8, 1990. It is also dedicated to Robert E. Stranger of the U.S. Army for years of service to American Legion Fort Sullian Post #246 by the Sons of the American Legion on June 24, 1990.
