Jackson County dedicated this memorial to all veterans, living and deceased, who honorably served their country so that freedom may reign. The dedication took place on Veterans Day, November 11, 2007, under the Board of Commissioners Brian T. McMahan, chairman, Joe Cowan, Mark R. Jones, Tom L. Massie, and William R. Shelton, with Veterans Service Officer Russ Bauer.
