Judge M.M. Allison served as president of the Dixie Highway Association from its organization in 1915, and the Dixie Highway was founded upon his faith, hope, and far vision. His indefatigable labor throughout the states through which it winds its useful way made its realization possible, and the people of the United States expressed their appreciation for his great service to the country.
