Carr Mountain, at 3,453 feet, is the highest peak in a cluster of White Mountains within New Hampshire’s White Mountain National Forest, spanning the towns of Wentworth and Warren. Forming a ridge from northeastern Wentworth into southeastern Warren, it stands within an area bounded by major roads including Interstate 93 and Routes 25, 118, and 112. Its western and eastern slopes drain through numerous brooks into the Baker River, part of the Pemigewasset watershed that flows to the Merrimack River and the Gulf of Maine. The Three Ponds area lies at its northeast base, and the summit is accessible from both east and west by the Carr Mountain Trail.
