Poricy Park is a two hundred fifty-acre nature preserve in Middletown Township, New Jersey, created through a citizen conservation effort after residents opposed a sewer project that threatened Poricy Brook in 1969. Land was acquired from 1970 to 1973 with township and conservation partners, and the preserve was established to protect a landscape valued for both natural and local history. Its most notable feature is the fossil-bearing streambed of Poricy Brook, where publicly accessible Late Cretaceous shell beds about seventy-two million years old yield oysters, clams, belemnites, and shark teeth. The park also includes a Nature Center, historic farm buildings, and varied wildlife habitats.
