North Klawatti Glacier is a glacier in Washington’s North Cascades National Park, occupying a cirque east of Austera Peak above Klawatti Lake and separated from Klawatti Glacier by an arête. About 1.4 miles long and 0.40 miles wide at its widest, it descends from roughly 7,800 feet to 6,000 feet above the lake below. Measured at 1.48 square kilometers in 1993, it also became part of scientific mass balance research. From the beginning of monitoring in 1993 to 2013, it lost about 8 meters of thickness, illustrating broader glacier changes in the North Cascades.
