The former Attleboro Refining Company building was built in 1899 for Harold D. Baker. Handy & Harmon Co. purchased the building in 1968 and used it until the facility was turned over to the Attleboro Chamber of Commerce in 1976. As part of the city's Bicentennial Celebration, the Attleboro Bicentennial Commission created the Attleboro Industrial Museum, which serves as a non-profit repository for historical data relating to area companies, past and present.
