William Tuffs, born June 11, 1750, and died September 5, 1847, was a member of the Boston Tea Party whose life was marked by feats of a revolutionary character, including being present at the battles of White Plains, Germantown, Lundies Lane, Monmouth, and Bunker Hill, and at the time of throwing the tea overboard at Boston.
