Baker Hot Springs is a geothermal area on Fumarole Butte in Utah’s Sevier Desert, northwest of Delta. Also known in the past as Crater Springs and Abraham Hot Springs, it consists of multiple spring openings rather than a single source along the eastern flank of a Quaternary basaltic andesite shield volcano. Mineral-rich water emerges at about 180 °F from a travertine and alluvial mound, with manganese and high sulphur content giving it a strong geothermal odor. Surveys recorded substantial flow from numerous openings, and the site’s best-known features today are three concrete soaking pools left from an older resort, still used mainly by locals.
