Paoli Peaks is a southern Indiana ski area near Paoli, built on a natural hill just north of Hoosier National Forest and notable for offering genuine downhill terrain in a state better known for rolling landforms. Its seventeen runs and seven lifts serve skiers, snowboarders, snowbladers, and tubers, with terrain aimed mainly at beginners and intermediates. Because natural snowfall is limited, extensive snowmaking is essential to keeping the season dependable. The resort also features a tubing hill, a day lodge with services and instruction, a ski patrol made up of paid and volunteer members, and extensive night skiing. It is now owned and operated by Vail Resorts.
