Built in 1869 by J.D. Berry, this native limestone home is the oldest in Stephenville and features Victorian architecture distinguished by a steep roof, narrow windows, and filigree gingerbread trim. Purchased in 1965, it was restored by public donation sponsored by the Stephenville Study Club to house a historical museum. It was recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark in 1967 and entered in the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
