The residence at 229 W. Clinton Street was home to Dr. John Bloomfield, Susan McEwen Bloomfield, and their children Carrie, William, and Eva. Built in 1879 in the Queen Anne style, it was also the place where Dr. Bloomfield began his medical practice in the parlor that year before later moving his practice to 106 W. Washington St. The residence was deeded to the Henry County Historical Society on August 7, 2003.
