Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery contains its oldest identified grave site from 1881 and includes grave sites of participants in the U.S. Public Health Study of Syphilis in Untreated Black Males, conducted from 1930 to 1972. The cemetery was designated a State of Alabama Historic Site in 2006.
