In November 1969, with the help of the Winner Women's Club, the Tripp County Historical Society was organized to establish a museum for the care and display of items of historical value. In 1975, a metal building 50 x 120 feet was erected. Later, the machine shed was erected to house Bill Morganfield's steam engine tractors.
