Persimmon Mound is an archaeological site near Rockledge, Florida, about 10 miles southwest of the city on the east bank of a former channel of the St. Johns River. Located within the Seminole Ranch Conservation Area, which is also managed as the Seminole Ranch Wildlife Management Area, it is recognized as a historic place in Florida’s archaeological landscape. Its significance was formally acknowledged when it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on 14 April 1994.
