Medium-size Theropod Tracks
Nature
18
A medium-sized carnivorous dinosaur left this trackway, with tracks about 7-14 inches long from an animal about 6 feet tall at the hip. Similar tracks have also been found in Wyoming. The exact kind of dinosaur that made these tracks is unknown, because there are several of this size and foot morphology in the Cedar Mountain Formation, but one possibility is relatively mid-sized theropods like Ornithomimids. The track is identified as Carmelopodus-like from the Early Cretaceous, about 112 million years ago, in the Cedar Mountain Formation.
