Charles and Catherine Shields donated the land for St. Patrick's Church and Cemetery to the congregation in 1858. The first church was erected in 1867, and an addition was added in 1904 to accommodate a growing congregation. In 1924 the old church was razed and a new church was built with money, time, and materials donated by parish members. Father Frahling designed the church and was instrumental in its completion. The church closed in 1964 and was razed in 1997.
