Mary C. Hux gave this cemetery to the Town of Astatula, and it was deeded to the town on October 11th, 1895. The deed stipulated that the roughly 10-acre property would only be a cemetery and would always be used for the residents of the town. Since then, the Town of Astatula has cared for the cemetery as trustees.
