Built circa 1863, this imposing residence with its classical columns, two-storied gallery, French window and fan transom is an important local representative of the Greek Revival tradition in America. Constructed of locally fired brick, the house served as a private residence for a number of Ione's prominent citizens before being converted into a bed and breakfast inn in 1980.
