Bosque Peak is a mountain on the western flank of New Mexico’s Manzano Mountains within Cibola National Forest. Counted among the state’s higher summits, it ranks 318th in New Mexico by elevation and 101st by prominence. Its position in the Manzano range places it in the forested highlands east of the Rio Grande valley, and its prominence indicates that it rises distinctly from the surrounding terrain. Bosque Peak is significant chiefly as a natural feature of the national forest rather than as a developed destination or landmark.
