Fred MacMurray (1908-1991) grew up in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and was an American actor and singer during the Golden Age of Cinema. He was best known as a leading man in screwball comedies including The Egg and I. He had over 80 leading Hollywood roles, including Double Indemnity and Disneys productions of The Absent-Minded Professor, The Happiest Millionaire, and The Shaggy Dog. He also starred in the television series My Three Sons from 1960 to 1972.
