In 1896, George Allen and Joseph Sandhorfer operated East Auburn’s first carriage, wagon, and harness shop in this building. Over the years, other occupants included Burt and Locher General Merchandising, A.F. Ford and Co., Grocers, Ford and Bequette Grocery, Red and White Store, Martin’s Grocery, Aero Willy’s Motors.
