This original postwar bungalow was purchased by Anderson philanthropist and polio-stricken Anne J. Gambrill in 1962 and remodeled by noted architect and landscape designer John W. Linley in a relaxed New Orleans style, using antique brick throughout the property salvaged from the Victorian-era Anderson City Jail.
