The memorial honors those from the community who died in the world wars. For World War 1914 - 1921, it is erected to the memory of Fred W. Beisner and Pvt. William Knop. For World War II 1941 - 1946, it honors Clyde Cruse, Wilbert Dettmer, Elmer Eilers, Harold Hornostel, Stanley O Hornbostel, Edward Luehr, William Pfeiffer, Leonard Siemers, Clyde Sternberg, Bernard Triantos, and Alfred Wittbracht.
