Nature
Buffalo Bull Knob is a mountain summit in Webster County, West Virginia, near Webster Springs, rising 2,799 feet and ranking as the state's 445th highest summit. Its significance lies in the local story preserved in its name from the time when wild buffalo still ranged parts of the region. According to that account, a hunter killed one of the last wild buffaloes in the area near the mountain's base, and the summit thereafter became known as Buffalo Bull Knob.
