Nolin Lake State Park in Edmonson County, Kentucky, lies on the northern edge of Mammoth Cave National Park and centers on the 5,795-acre Nolin Lake. The park covers 333 acres and is geared toward lakeside recreation, offering a small beach, boat ramp, country store, playground, and camping areas with 32 developed campsites and 27 primitive sites. Nolin Lake reached a record high water level of 549.9 feet above mean sea level on May 25, 1983. Beside a large reservoir and near one of Kentucky’s best-known national parks, the park serves as a quieter base for boating, camping, and exploring the surrounding cave country.
