2
Owned by Van and Elnorah (Ballenger) Sampson, this dwelling served during the boarding season from early spring to late fall as a light housekeeping facility where guests made their own beds and cooked their own meals over a kerosene cook stove. In the winter months it became the Sampsons' private residence. It contained two apartments and featured a geode rock enclosure for the porch. The building was destroyed in the Flood of 1969.
