The healing powers of the waters of Indian Spring were known to Indians before pioneers blazed the trail of civilization in Georgia. Their belief and confidence in the medicinal virtues of the waters were so strong that they came with their sick and invalid and camped on the hillsides so the afflicted might drink of the life-giving stream and be restored to health.
