Delta Meadows River Park is a California state park in the Sacramento–San Joaquin River Delta near Locke, preserving 472 acres of undeveloped delta landscape between the Sacramento and Mokelumne rivers since 1985. Its importance lies in offering a rare view of the delta much as it appeared about 150 years ago, with sloughs, wet meadows, and an island bordered by oak, tule, walnut, willow, and cottonwood. The park also supports abundant wildlife, including deer, beavers, river otters, muskrats, and many wetland birds. It is open for walking, fishing, and boating, with access mainly by boat and no visitor services.
