The Leahy Saddlemire Building, the old jail building in Tioga County, was dedicated in recognition of the service of William P. Leahy and Carl Saddlemire to the people of Tioga County. William P. Leahy served as County Highway Superintendent from September 1, 1934, to November 30, 1972. Carl Saddlemire served as Clerk of the Board of Supervisors from January 1, 1947, to December 31, 1957, and as County Treasurer from January 1, 1958, to December 31, 1987. The dedication took place in 1987.
