Built in 1879, this house was the home of Plumas County Judge and State Assemblyman Greenleaf Greeley Clough and his family for nearly half a century. In 1927 it became the home of Louis Archibald “Arch” Braden, who was elected to nine consecutive terms as Plumas County Sheriff from 1915 to 1950, when he retired at age 70. Its restoration and preservation as the Plumas Bank Administration Building are attributed to the efforts of Ernest G. Leonhardt.
