The Alpha Portland Cement Company plant in Jamesville, N.Y., received the Portland Cement Association Safety Trophy Award for a perfect safety record in 1934 and was reawarded for perfect safety records in 1935, 1936, 1943, 1944, 1946, 1957, 1958, 1961, 1963, 1966, 1967, 1968, and 1969; it was saved in 2018.
