Boundary Creek Wildlife Management Area in northern Idaho protects 1,405 acres along the British Columbia, Canada, border beside the Kootenai River. Purchased in 1999 with Fish and Game license funds and Bonneville Power Administration wildlife mitigation funds, it is managed as an Idaho wildlife management area and is open daily from sunrise to sunset with free access. Its riverside setting makes it important habitat near the Kootenai, which supports the endangered white sturgeon. Wildlife recorded there includes ruffed grouse, wild turkey, rough-legged hawk, great horned owl, and various waterfowl.
