Eldorado Glacier lies on the south slopes of Eldorado Peak in North Cascades National Park, Washington. This relatively compact icefield is about 0.85 mile long, descending from roughly 8,400 feet to 7,000 feet. Its upper slopes connect with Inspiration Glacier, tying it to a broader high-alpine ice landscape around the peak. At its terminus, it spreads to about 1.2 miles wide across the mountain. Meltwater draining south feeds Roush Creek Falls, a drop of about 2,000 feet and one of Washington’s tallest waterfalls, giving the glacier significance both within the park’s glaciated terrain and as the source of a dramatic cascade below.
