St. Paul's Lutheran Church honored 65 members who served in World War I and remembered Edward Lohman, who gave his life for his country. It also honored 175 members who served in World War II and remembered Edward Green, Vernon Henning, Norbert Meyer, Arnold Oetting, and Elmer Pape, who paid the supreme sacrifice. The memorial further remembered servicemen who died in the Korean War and Vietnam War: Dennis Deke, who died in 1954, William D Kindle, who died in 1968, and Stanley Martens, who died in 1969. It was erected in A.D. 1952 at the location of the first sanctuary of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, whose first log church dated to 1844, followed by a brick church in 1860 and the present church in 1904.
